Perfect French Toast
In our home, we make French toast ALL THE TIME! Mostly, because it’s easy and inexpensive! We pick up a loaf of fresh baked French bread everytime we go grocery shopping. I always make sure to grab a warm one (feel around, you’ll find one).
If we don’t eat all of the bread at dinner, then often I slice up the rest the next day for French toast (tip: only slice off what you plan to eat).
INGREDIENTS :
- 1 loaf fresh French bread
- 4 eggs
INSTRUCTIONS :
Whisk eggs with a fork in a pie plate. Slice bread evenly to create 12 slices of bread. Dip each slice, both sides, into whisked eggs. Place dipped bread onto heated (medium high) nonstick griddle. Toast for about 1 min or until golden brown. Flip and toast other side. Lather butter on toasted side (and flip and repeat if desired). Serve hot with syrup or powdered sugar and berries. My kids also love these with peanut butter
